Check out this awesome link to a copy of the Good Morning America segment that kicked off the T.R.E.E.S. contest

TREES kicked off their new and exciting Trinity River Video Contest this morning.  The contest aims to motivate area citizens to create one-minute videos highlighting the problem of littering and illegal dumping that pollute the Trinity and suggesting ways to reduce the problem.  The winner will receive $1,500, exposure on WFAA-TV, a showing at the Dallas International Film Festival...and more!  This project was funded by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality through the North Central Texas Council of Governments with support from the City of Haltom City, the City of Grand Prairie, TREES, WFAA and many others!

KLB is one of 30 regional affiliates that works with T.R.E.E.S. (Trinity River Environmental Education Society) to help promote the Trinity Trash Bash and clean waterways in Texas. For more info about this great organization or to see what is going on in your community, check out their website
